Piotr Koczorski holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from The University of Nicolaus Copernicus in Toruń (2018). Piotr’s passion lies in his interest in informatics and programming and love for biology. His research interests are bacterial and fungal endophytes, microbiome and gene diversity, the influence of biotic and abiotic stress on microorganisms and plants. During Bachelor’s studies Piotr was working on Nif H gene diversity and he used a database of all known nif H gene sequences to create a list of all endophytes that can fix atmospheric nitrogen. Right after graduation, he applied for Master’s studies and he further investigated endophytes, this time focusing on one plant – Alnus glutinosa Gaertn. and the influence of salt stress on bacteria composition. During his studies, Piotr was also working in Cereal Partners Poland Toruń Pacific, first as a Bussines Processes Specialist and then as a Data Manager. This work allowed him to work on his soft skills and English. With all the experience that he collected during studies and work, Piotr applied for doctoral studies.
