Description of the project The aim of the project Synthetic materials as a matter of contemporary works of art in the process of conservation is to gain greater knowledge of selected synthetic materials used by Polish artists, their identification, investigation of the deterioration process and of their condition implementing the most recent testing methods. It is not only a theoretical research project but the output of experiments is considered to be a step forward in designing proposals of practical conservation treatment of selected modern objects made by Polish artist, after scientific assessment of the most proper, effective and safe method. The practical part will summarize conducted research of impact conservation process and materials on works of art made of synthetic materials and their further degradation process.
