Two PhD students from the Academia Copernicana Doctoral School at Nicolaus Copernicus University, Igor Sawicki and Mateusz Witkowski, completed a month-long research internship at Xiamen University in China, working in the research group of Professor Pavlo O. Dral.

During their stay, they also participated in the Quantum International Frontiers conference in Changsha, where they presented their research and both received Graduate Poster Awards for their scientific contributions.

Mateusz Witkowski – “MERCE – Method-Space Correlation Energy Extrapolation”

The research visit and conference participation provided opportunities to exchange scientific ideas, establish international research connections, and present their work to the international quantum chemistry community.
